Editorial policy
Rural Fashion Journal aims to make clothing and dress customs easier to understand. We distinguish explanation from opinion, take care with historical and material claims, and make our interests and limits visible.
Accuracy and corrections
We check names, definitions and factual statements against suitable sources before publication, and avoid presenting uncertain details as settled. If readers identify a possible error, they can send the relevant passage and context through the Contact page. We review correction requests and update material when warranted, with a clear note where the change affects the meaning of a published piece.
Independence and partnerships
Editorial decisions remain separate from commercial arrangements. Any sponsored article, paid placement or other partner material is identified plainly so readers can tell what they are reading. A partnership does not guarantee favourable coverage, and editorial articles are not written to disguise promotion.
Images and illustrations
Images are selected to support the subject and not to imply evidence they do not provide. Some illustrations may be AI-generated; when that is relevant to how an image should be understood, we identify it. Illustrations are not presented as documentary photographs of specific people, places or events.
Clothes belong to a place
A garment makes more sense when we consider its material, purpose and setting. Rural Fashion Journal looks at country dress without treating rural life as one uniform style.
